Happy Monday loves! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. On the 4th, I spent the entire day hanging with one of the besties. We went to Harlem for brunch then spent the day enjoying the scene and sipping on cocktails. Before the cocktails took over the day I was able to get some snaps in of my look.
Mother nature threatened to rain all day, but the sun came out and made it the perfect day. Literally! It was warm, sunny and a great opportunity to rock a new shirt dress as a top. I recently purchased this olive green dress and immediately thought about wearing it as a top a few times. It will look great as a dress (future post), but right now I wanted to pair it with distressed jeans or shorts.
I opted for a pair of black denim shorts, buttoned the top of the dress and a look composed of separates was made.
Gold gladiator sandals, cuff bracelets, a chain link necklace, gold hoops and a purple lip completed the look. As you’ve noticed I’ve been really trying to do the natural hair thing and this was the look I went for today.
Clearly I was excited about something here….
