Last night I was late tuning into the Emmy Awards Red Carpet due to a mixer I attended (post coming soon) . However, thanks to my bestfriend, DVR, I was able to indulge later on. This year Seth Meyers was a funny host and the skit with him and Billy on the Street was extremely entertaining. The red carpet was also entertaining with bright orange and red hues, black and white hues, pops of yellow, blue and some shimmer in between.

(Note: All the looks were not included in this post)
Uzo Aduba – Gave face in this stunning red number. Gorgeous!
Sarah Hyland – Looked great in a coral ball gown skirt and white crop top
Octavia Spencer – Looked every bit as classy as she is in a subtle red gown.
Claire Danes – The back of this dress was interesting and intricate, but I have to say the dress over all did not do it for me.
Mindy Kaling – Was another lady in red for the evening.
Heidi Klum & Zac Posen – This color really looks good on Heidi. Her simple dress flattered her. As always Zac looked dapper.
January Jones – Graced the carpet with a beautiful red gown. I really like red on her.
Kaley Cuoco – I love this haircut on her, but the dress reminds me too much of prom. Sadly it misses the mark for me.
Zooey Deschanel – Looked pretty in pink with a smile to match.
Jessica Pare – Channeled her inner Betty Draper (Mad Men) with this gown. She looked sensational.
Lena Headey – I really love the silhouette of this dress, but there is something about the actual pattern that does not do it for me. I also disliked the shoe choice, but the hair looks great on her.
Melissa McCarthy – Looked like a modern day princess in black. I adore the tulle skirt. Classy!
Nancy O’Dell – Gave us see thru chicness in this black number.
Kelly Osbourne – It is no secret how much I adore Kelly and her style. This dress gives me timeless vintage with some edge. It looks great on her especially with the purple hair complimenting the look.
Lizzy Caplan – was chic in black and white.
Amy Chlumsky – opted for white sophistication.
Danielle Brooks – Also chose white, but I have to say this is not doing it for me. I am not sure if it is the detail on top of the dress or the color. It reminds me too much of a wedding dress.
Julianne Hough – Adorned white as well for the night. Not quite sure how I feel about this.
Kata Mara – The back of this dress is stunning!
Kristen Wiig – Gave us sexy in white!
Sophia Vergara – Looked like a gorgeous vixen, per her norm.
Laverne Cox – Oozed glamour in a white gown.
Hayden Panettiere – Mommy-to-be looked radiant in a shimmery number.
Camilla Alves McConaughey – I lived for this dress on her. Sexy!
Katherine Heigl – Tuned into her softer side with this pale gown.
Lucy Lui – Kept it light in a pale yellow dress.
Selenis Leyva – Went for curve hugging prettiness with her tiered gown.
Kate Walsh – Looked gorgeous in this yellow dress. It really complimented her hair color.
Samira Wiley – Looked sweet and radiant in yellow. I love the simplicity of the styling although a bracelet would have looked great here as well.
Kerry Washington – I really wish I was not disappointed in Kerry’s choice for the night, but I am. She looks beautiful per her norm, but this look is missing a wow factor for me. I do not hate it on her, but love is not the word that would come to mind.
Taryn Manning – Shimmered in Gold!
Debra Messing – Also opted for a navy hue with sheer detailing.
Alicia Quarles – Kept her look chic in a Navy hue.
Julia Roberts – I disliked this look, but she wore it with confidence.
Julie Bowen – This dress did not blow me away, but the silhouette is classic for Julie.
Laura Prepon – Another dress I disliked, but the color looked radiant on her.
Edie Falco – Looked pretty in royal blue
Keke Palmer – Looked like a vixen in this royal blue dress. Hot!
Mayim Bialik – Dazzled in blue!
Viola Davis – Opted for the blue hue as well. Again, another dress that did nothing for me, but she looked beautiful nonetheless.
