In a matter of days, Bobbi Brown was named editor in chief of Yahoo Beauty and Joe Zee was named editor in chief and executive creative officer of Yahoo Fashion. Yahoo is really on their A-game recruiting top talent to join their editorial team. Both have been influential to the beauty and fashion industries which is why I cannot wait to follow their new journeys in the Yahoo space (Adweek).
Moving along, Gap Inc. also added a new addition to their team, designer Marissa Webb.Her new position will be creative director and executive vice president of design. Webb will be responsible for Banana Republic’s creative direction which includes lead global product design for men’s, women’s and accessories. This is a great direction for the Banana Republic brand. The brand is known for its classic, structured chicness and paired with Webb’s chic and tomboy edge we are hopefully in store for an innovative direction (WWD).
