Paris Couture Fashion Week came to a close when Guo Pei debut her collection for the first time. Although Guo Pei has been designing for years her gorgeous pieces acquired a lot praise when we all witnessed Rihanna in a stunning yellow piece that changed the fashion game at the 2015 Met Gala.

Her color palette consisted of beautiful sorbet colors like peach, aqua and pale pink which dominated the looks on the runway. Each piece was intricately crafted with an array of adornments such as feathers, bows and beads and luxurious fabrics were structured into show stopping gowns, shorts, jumpsuits and minidresses. Overall, the collection reflected Guo Pei’s aesthetic to a T with the silhouettes telling the story of her heritage in the most intriguing way. With hits like these I know we will see some of these designs gracing a red carpet near us soon, but I do hope to see queen Ri will be at the top of that list again. Afterall, it is clear that when it comes to designer and client they are a great match.
