This past weekend I attended the Everyday People Brunch series which took place at La Marina here in New York City. I’ve been wanting to attend the brunch for a while, but I was finally able to make it happen this time. This was a first for the brunch series to take place in Washington Heights and although I could have done without the extensively crazy drink situation, fun times were definitely had.
I spent the day hanging out with my love, friends and even ran into some old friends throughout the day. I had the pleasure of meeting two fabulous ladies, author Demetria Lucas D’Oyley, A Belle in Brooklyn and Editor-in-Chief of Fashion Bomb Daily and The Bomb Life, Claire Sulmers.
Demetria was a doll and her hair is EVERYTHING. It’s a total hair goal for me to reach one day.
Claire truly was fabulous, per her norm, and really sweet. She’s a mentor in my head and it was great to finally meet her.
For the day I wanted to keep it extremely casual, comfortable and chic. I think I accomplished that and then some with my jogger look. If you know me then you know joggers are truly my new leggings. I rock a pair of printed joggers every opportunity I get. In my world you really can’t have enough.
I paired my tropical printed joggers with a white crop top, a denim shirt vest, black sandals and a black crossbody bag.
An assortment of gold bangles, rings, hoop earrings (which I’ve been wearing a lot the past few weeks) and my trusty smoked purple lipstick completed the look. I showed my hair some love the night before by doing a really great twist out and with that I was ready for the beach themed day party.
