The red carpet was in full effect last night at the 2014 BET Awards. The BET Awards is always an interesting scene as the elite and not so elite in black entertainment come out to support the event. Trending last night was the color white and with good reason. LA was on fire weather wise and a lot of celebrities opted to wear white to keep as cool as they could be. Hands down my favorite look on the red carpet was Adrienne Bailone in a GORGEOUS Michael Costello white dress. Adrienne never misses the mark on the red carpet and last night was no exception. Ashanti, who also wore Michael Costello, sizzled in white along with the flawless ladies below.
Flawless in White

Now let’s get to everyone else….
Kerry Washington looked so adorable in a floral Dolce & Gabbana dress. Cute!
Zendaya Coleman looked sporty and sexy on the red carpet in Emanuel Ungaro Resort 2014. I love that she always takes risks in her fashion. Hot!
Tinashe looked every bit the performer she is in a black jumpsuit. I love the sneakers. Cute!
Tatyana Ali was a beauty in pink, but to be honest I was not feeling the dress.
Tamera Mowry-Housley kept it simple and chic.
Mary Jane star, Raven Goodwin kept it chic in black and white with pops of color.
Lil Mama looked cute in this orange number. The dress is hot. Normally, she misses the mark all the time for me, but I really like this on her. Cute!
Ledisi overall looked great, but I was not a fan of the dress.
Jennifer Freeman looked cute in this neon pink dress, but I am not a fan of the blonde hair.
I love Jeannie Mai, who always looks fabulous to me, but this outfit underwhelmed me. It just seems so dark for an event that was so light.
Karrueche Tran hair and makeup were flawless. The dress is okay!
I cannot even express how disappointed I am with this look. Keke Palmer usually kills it on the red carpet. I think she took a chance with this, but in my opinion, it did not translate well. It doesn’t seem like her. Either way her hair and makeup were on point.
Holly Robinson Peete looked pretty and weather appropriate.
Mary Jane herself, Gabrielle Union kept it simple in a long gown and front slit.
I am not even sure what to say about Charli Baltimore, however, I do like the hair.
Angela Simmons looked great per her norm. I am loving the details on this black dress.
