As we all know, fashion is a 360 movement. Things that were once in style or in season can easily be replaced, but give it a few years or decades and it comes back full circle in some capacity. I remember when I was younger, jelly sandals were the end all be all. You were not cool in the 7th grade if you did not have some jelly sandals. Let’s not even get into the colors. If you only had clear jelly sandals then you just weren’t cool enough. Clearly those were the days #juniorhighstyle.
As I grew older, not only were jellies not in style anymore, but the thought of wearing them (they were still sold in some stores) was a negative. To be honest, in 7th grade I liked them for the moment, but as I got older they were definitely something I could live without. Slowly, but surely jelly sandals have made a return. First, I noticed them in a more modern version of flats (post coming soon), but they have evolved into trendy heels that actually look pretty decent.
