New York Fashion Week (NYFW) has officially begun and now comes the task of figuring out what to wear. We covered behind the scenes yesterday (here).
So let’s talk about attending the shows…
Fashion week is about expression, beauty and art. You are able to show your individuality among fellow fashion lovers. There are a variety of inspirational pieces you could wear to make a statement, but these are a few looks to get your style wheels turning.
Look 1: Boots | Top | Shorts | Hat | Tank | Midi Rings | Crossbody Bag | Lipstick
I am obsessed with these Antonio Berardi over-the-knee boots. They are definitely a major splurge, but super sexy. This boyfriend chic look is perfect for the gal who is sexy, confident and loves being casual with a touch of femininity. The best part is this plaid button up can be worn several ways: off or on and tied at the waist, on left tucked in, untucked, or open. The heroine lipstick gives the look a little twist.
Look 2: Skirt | Watch | Top | Heels | Earrings | Tote | Flats
Midi skirts are classic and chic pieces. This pleated style paired with a textured structured crop top with minimal jewelry screams sophistication. Black and white has been my go-to color palette of late. I even have the color scheme on my business cards so there really is no surprise why this look is one of my favorites. The pop of color enhances the sultry vibe, which is why I would suggest completing this look with a nude lipstick of your choice.
Look 3: Dress | Pumps | Crossbody Bag | Sneakers | Earrings | Bracelets | Lipstick
For me, there is something about the color pink that says flirty. This urban flirt look would look great dressed up with pumps or dressed down with sneakers. The versatile element in this look is the two-piece dress set. It would work for a variety of events such as fashion week.
Look 4: Jumpsuit | Vest | Pumps | Lipstick | Necklace | Ring | Bracelet | Clutch | Flats
Seriously, a jumpsuit is an ideal piece to wear during fashion week. It is easy to wear in a fun way especially when you add a layering piece and accessories. I love the blue hue paired with pops of red, gold and cream. The vest, shoes and jewelry are all unique pieces that stand out in a subtle way.
Which look would you rock for NYFW?
