I constantly get asked how to wear something whether it be a tulle skirt or a crop top. There are women who have aspirations to wear a specific piece, but get deterred by the fear of how to actually wear it. I am a firm believer in mixing, matching and taking risks (plain old trying things out).
Let’s be forreal, a girl has to have options.
Saturday was no different. I spent the day having brunch with some of my girlfriends and then we did some light shopping. The question of how to wear this bustier top came up.
This is a fun question because crop and bustier tops are great pieces to play with. You really can dress it up for day or night (work or play). Like anything it depends on your mood and how flirty your’re feeling.
Take a look below at some chic ways to rock a bustier top.
Dolce & Gabbana Floral-Print Cotton-Blend Poplin Bustier, Zara Blazer with Gathered Shoulders, Dolce & Gabbana Lemon Blossom-Print Pencil Skirt, White Wavy Textured Pencil Skirt, Emanuel Ungaro Wide Leg Trousers, Ivy Linen Mix Skirt, Yumi Textured Skater Skirt, Jessica Simpson Adeni Microsuede Pumps, ASOS Hampstead Heeled Sandals, Steve Madden Marlenee Sandal Blush, Gorjana Mila Necklace, Status Link Necklace, Gold Varied Double Row Chunky Chain Necklace
I’m loving the floral print that has been on trend for a while now and is still on trend for this spring season. Pairing a top like this with a matching skirt looks chic, polished and straight forward. You can also play the mixing game and pair it with a wide leg high waist trouser, a textured skater or pencil skirt or a midi skirt. The colors and of course silhouette of the bottom is subjective to your mood and/or event. I love mixing bold colors with prints hence the orange-red skirt. It gives the outfit a certain kind of pop. There are several shoe options: red, black, blush and even green would work depending on your preference. Accessories really are the key to any outfit, in my opinion, so a simple necklace would do the trick or you could enhance it with a statement piece. Grab a cute clutch, tote or crossbody bag and your’re ready to rock a bustier top.
Obviously, there a ton of different ways you could wear this, but the above is a simple how-to description to get your inspiration flowing.
Are you still fearful or would you wear it?
